Nestled at the head of Queen Charlotte Sound, Waitohi Picton is arguably one of New Zealand’s most pretty seaside towns. An update of the Reserve Management Plan saw our team commissioned to provide a masterplan for the foreshore reserve and interfacing streetscapes. 

The preliminary design, utilising Te Aranga Design Principles, strengthens the connection between ‘land and sea’ by calming traffic movements, prioritising pedestrian movements and activities, and better supporting economic activity, to celebrate this as a place of national and international significance.
